Curb appeal shouldn’t stop short of your front door, frame that space with the perfect fall décor!
Mums and pumpkins and gourds, oh my! Fall brings some of our favorites but how do we add them effortlessly into our existing décor, especially those outdoor spaces? Uniquely Yours wants to help you prepare your outdoor space for the season and we’ve got these tips, tricks and even a few Amazon links to show you just how.
Decorating Myth #1: You must remove all your current items and start fresh in order to make a statement.
This could not be more FALSE, a balance of new items combined with your existing pieces creates a nice visual and shows just how good you are at your décor game.
Tip #1: Let’s say you have pots with greens and a few summer annuals sprinkled throughout, pop out those annuals, they won’t make it through the fall, and replace them with a variety of pumpkins and/or gourds.
This introduces a new pop of color, and texture and say’s hello fall! Take this tip further by adding in a few mums of various sizes nestled with your pumpkins (if space allows) or snuggled up next to the pots.
Decorating Myth #2: I’ve never decorated my outdoor space, if I start now I’ll have to keep it up each season and boy that is a lot of work!
This is a common misconception, we urge you to make your outdoor space effortless and you can easily do so if you stick to the seasons! This literally means you’ll touch this space 4 times, we know you can do it!
Tip #2: Lay a foundation of items that you can use for all 4 seasons, you got that right, these pieces can stay put and all you need to do is add to them to create your seasonal look.

2. Outdoor Rug – Choose something that you do not have to maintain or swap out, a monogrammed rug, a simple welcome mat, or a rubber mat (with the style of course) will do just the trick!
3. Outdoor Pots – Depending on your style this option is really endless, choose something that is large, you do not want to have itty bitty items at your front door that cannot be seen. Plus you want a pot that will give you the flexibility to add one or multiple plants and items to it and not look cramped. Keep in mind you may need more than one.
